15 Minute Journaling Prompt
Wanderlust is one of the most beautiful words. Say it. Listen to it. Think about it. Do you see what I mean? It’s a beautiful, magical word. We borrowed the word from German Romantics who used it to describe the desire to travel the world. Wanderlust is an impulse to confront the new and to challenge the self. It inspires love in the world around us. It moves our feet and our minds to new places.
I can feel it in me. It rooted in my mind and spread through the blood of my body. I feel it in my fingertips and my toes. There is no satisfying wanderlust. Give in or ignore it, the result is the same. Those of us with wanderlust only feel it grow day by day. I’m infected, cursed, blessed by the same desire.
Today’s prompt is one we have all thought about. It’s the type of question friends ask in late night conversations.
